Monochrome Masterpiece

Happy New Year everyone! Jen here with my latest card. Have you ever felt like being creative but really don't want the fuss of dragging out loads of your crafty supplies? Well that was me a few days ago! So I thought why not keep it simple and make a monochromatic card. But that's boring I hear you say. Well it doesn't have to be. You can add texture and interest and still create a beautiful black and white greeting card. Here's how I created mine.
I began by cutting an 8.5 x 11 inch sheet of heavy weight white cardstock into 4 A2 size panels. I inked the Clematis Impress-ion Letterpress Press Plate Dies – LDRS Creative in  Raven – LDRS Creative hybrid ink, I ran it through my die cutting machine on a letter press platform twice.
I took one of the panels and die cut it with Diamonds A2 Coverplate – LDRS Creative. I also cut the remaining 2 white panels with the coverplate die and used liquid glue to stack them behind the stamped and die cut panel.
Next I cut the Diamonds A2 Coverplate – LDRS Creative from black cardstock and trimmed out the diamond lattice, leaving me with a black border, that I used that to frame out the image.
I carfully lined up the die cut and stacked front panel with the second stamped panel giving the illusion that it was one continous image. This was then added to a side opening A2 white card base.
I white heat embossed the sentiement "All you need is love and maybe chocolate" from the Love Wave Stack 4x6 Stamps – LDRS Creative and die cut it with the coordinating die Wave Ribbon Stack Coordinating Die – LDRS Creative and added it to the centre of the card. As a final touch a sprinkled on a few black clay confetti hearts and there you have it. Simple but striking I'd say!
Catch you all again soon xx
