Gold and Pink Peony Arch Card

Hi crafty friends, Kirstynn here,

Today I want to share with you one of my favorite new products from the spring release. The Pony Impress-ion + Foil Plate. Today I'm going to be doing some foiling using this plate but there are multiple other florals that are in the most recent release that are absolutely stunning. So be sure to take a minute and check those out.

To start I used some gold foil and did some foiling onto some plain white cardstock. I have found I get the best foiling results when I use a cardstock that has a really smooth surface. While I had all of my foiling supplies out, I created some foiled sentiments using the Arches Hello Impress-ion Press + Foil

The photo doesn't do it justice but this plate is so intricate and beautiful in the gold. After I did the foiling I started coloring it using some water based markers. I used a few different shades of pink to really get some variance in the color.

I then used the Arches Dies  and cut out the floral image using one of the smaller dies in the set.

The next step was to create my card base. I started by creating a side folding A2 card base. I then lined up the larges arches die and made sure the left cutting edge was hanging over the score line as shown below.

When you run this through your die cutting machine, because this edge is hanging slightly off the fold, it won't cut. This will give us a arched shaped card.

From there I just assembled the card centering the floral element on the arched card and then adding the sentiment to the left side. And last I just added a few gold sequins.

I really hope this inspired you to create something. I love the possibilities that you can create with these new Impress-Ion plates.

Happy Spring Everyone!
