Foiling Fun!

Good morning, Kathy, here with a couple new cards using the latest release from LDRS Creative.  Has winter got you down?  Do you need a little color and SHINE to brighten your day?
Today I have two cards featuring the Sweetheart Floral Impress-ion plates. Today I will be doing a little bit of die cutting, some foiling, and minimal ink blending.
First, cut and fold an A2 top folding card base.
Using the Modern Trellis cover plate from LDRS Creative die-cut a piece of 4.25 x 5 1/2“ colored card stock. I used a light purple that will coordinate with my design.
Adhere the Modern Trellis die-cut to your card base with liquid glue
Now it’s time for some foiling. The Impress-ion plates from LDRS Creative are so versatile they can be used for foiling, stamping and letter press techniques.
I heated up my Spellbinders glimmer machine. Once it was heated up, I added the Sweet Flloral Impress-ion plate, added my hot foil, pretty side down, and a smooth piece of card stock. Press the button on your Glimmer Mchine and wait for the ready indicator to light up.
Next, add a smooth piece of card stock on top and run it through your die-cutting machine. Make sure to follow the instructions from your die-cutting machine.
Remove the foil, but don’t throw the negative away. We will be using this negative foil for a second bonus card.
Add the negative foil on top of a solid, foiling plate. Place the foil pretty side down and your card stock on top.  Press the button on your Glimmer machine and wait for the ready button to light up.
Remove your Glimmer plates and run through your die-cutting machine. Allow the panel to cool and remove the foil.   Die-cut this piece of card stock with a smaller rectangle from the LDRS Creative A2 Card Topper dies. Set this aside for card 2.
Using the Sweet Floral Stencils, place the stencil over the first foil design, and with some La La La Lavender Ink, lightly blend over the floral image. Using a heavier hand, add some more ink blending towards the center of the florals for some added depth.
Now using the smallestLa La La Lavender Inkfrom LDRS Creative, select an area of the design that will be the focal point for your card. Die cut the rectangle.
Add your focal point to a coordinating piece of card stock measuring 3.75“ x 4“. Add foam tape to the back of your focal point and add to your colored card stock panel.
Add the entire panel on top of your card base using foam tape.
For the sentiment, I used the Every Day Sayings stamp and die set. I stamped the greeting with watermark ink and used gold embossing powder. Heat set the sentiment.
Using the coordinating die, cut the sentiment. Die cut a few more blank sentiments from scrap pieces of white card stock. Glue these sentiments together to add a little bit of dimension I used liquid glue.
Add your sentiment to the card with liquid glue now your card is finished. So let’s move onto two.
First, I cut an A2 top folding card base from black card stock.
Back to the Modern Day Trellis cover plate. I’m going to use this plate to do some dry embossing you will need to follow the instructions included with your machine.
I cut a piece of white card stock to 4.25“ x 5.5“.
Place it over your cover plate and run through your cutting machine. I trimmed this panel down to 3.75” x 5”.
I added foam tape to the back of the foiled panel created earlier (with the negative piece of foil) and added this to the top of the card.
For the sentiment, I used one that I had already created from my stash. The sentiment is from the Loving Friendship Impress-ion set included in the With Affection Impress-ion bundle.
I cut a circle from vellum, added the sentiment on top with some foam tape.  Glue it on top of the foil panel.
Card two is finished! Hope you enjoyed these cards. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.  If these cards inspired you to purchase any of the products used, please use the links within this post.
